Great post Joe and congrats on the ling and yellow. Recall I caught a linglet on our trip but you have a ling daddy. Sounds like a great trip with lots of learning, fishing, and catching for all. Pretty weather too. If you do this again next year, I’d love to come. This coming year I want to get on the metal.
Joe, thanks again for the invitation to sponsor the trip. Marc and I had a fantastic time and the smoked Yellowtail in my belly proves it. Looking forward to the next 13 hour run to Colonet!
Thank you Joe! You and Marc being there added another element on top of the fishing to make the trip truly memorable. I’m glad you guys enjoyed yourselves. Hope you come out again!
I caught all my YT on a mint sardine 7x heavy. 6x was good too and so were the Shimano flat side jigs. Watch the video if you decide to use the Shimano jigs. Different retrieve. For lings, it was bait and a pound of weight. It’s really deep.
Bored at work reminiscing a bit… what a killer trip! Reading the report takes me right back to the water. If this is an annual trip, count me in on next year’s for sure! Excited to see what the rest of the season brings, hope to slay with you again soon Joe!
My plan is to do 4 big trips per year where I go out and get sponsors and all that. One is Thanksgiving weekend on the PI, and I think this is the next one. So much fun. I’m glad I got to experience it with you and get to know you better. Good times. Let’s do it again soon!

I told you your catch was a big deal Rob! Yeah, this will probably end up being an annual deal, but we’ll fish before then.
