   I took the time to write a thoughful email to the commission not only to consider my opinion on the matter, but to encourage them to encourage others to promote good fishing ethics, and to provide incentive to do so. I see too many people, some of whom are new anglers, getting bashed on online message boards for not following good ethics, even though they are within their LEGAL RIGHTS. That can turn off some new potential anglers from fishing entirely. Let’s keep try POSITIVE ENCOURAGEMENT, people, and I believe that can start with the DFG. I’ve had enough of some people standing high on their pulpit.

     Thanks Jimmy. I appreciate your feedback, especially given your perspective of owning/operating a sportboat. This blog was started for the anglers and the boats and this is a very important issue that we all need to get behind in getting the word out.

     Ron,
     Thanks for stopping by. I haven’t heard anything yet. There is another public meeting to discuss this topic in November in LA, so they may still be in an information gathering mode. As soon as I hear something, I’ll post on it here.
