Josh, I kid you not when I say it’s my bible in terms of SoCal fishing. It may be too specific to this area…not sure how it may translate if I didn’t live here, but it was like the clouds opening up and a ray of fishing enlightenment finally shining down on me. I’ve had a chance to read a few chapters now and the new book is great. Covers some other types of fishing not found in the first book…like White Seabass and Wahoo.
HI, I just started saltwater fishing and I am looking for this book – “The Southern California Angler” book recommended by you. I coudn’t find it anywhere online.
At this point, it’s pretty tough. I heard WON my reprint it, so definitely check their site (wonews.com). Other than that, for online, eBay and Amazon are going to be your best bet. I saw at one point it was going for $100 on eBay. Tough pill to swallow, but I might still buy it at that price! Another thing to think about is when you go to a tackle shop, especially the non-chain ones, they may still have a copy laying around. Good luck and thanks for stopping by. Feel free to ask questions anytime!
Thanks for a super quick reply! I shall call few tackle shops.. and if I don’t find it there oh well “knowledge is the real treasure” ( I shall get it online for whatever the price may be) Spring is not far!!
When I think of all the money I wasted on gear I didn’t need, or trips that I went on with lousy results, you can see how $100 to more quickly acquire that knowledge is worth it. Good luck and keep coming back here to accelerate the process. Thanks!
